At best, it costs the State 7.1 billion over the next ten years. That's if the Feds (who can't afford it either) don't change the reimbursement rate. And no one knows what happens at the end on ten years.

That's hardly "little to no costs."

Don't come in here with facts. According to an idiot that post on this board Jindal is killing people. Not because he doesn't want to hamper the state with debt but because he's republican and hates the poor.

Okay, seriously, what is the truth from an objective source? I'm not doubting you, but there are some knowledgeable, non-ideological, observers who suggest that it's stupid for the state to turn down the Medicaid expansion deal. 100% funded by the feds initially, then 90% thereafter.

I'm asking the question honestly. What are the numbers?
