I would trust that the FO knows what it's doing when it comes to kickers.

However, there aren't many that stand out above the projected UDFA kickers this year. Anthony Fera and Chris Boswell look like 6th or 7th round picks. Nate Freese from BC and Santos from Tulane may get drafted, but might not.

I'm not sure any of these guys are that much better than Shayne Graham or Derek Dimke.

Have the Saints brought any of these guys in for interviews or tryouts or have they vistited the Texas Pro Day or anything?

With a 5th, I'd be iffy, but not disgusted. 6th or 7th, I'd be fine with it. It's a flyer as others have stated and so getting a kicker that turns out great on the cheap helps in other areas and could bring consistency for a while.

If one of the kickers who will be drafted looked like that guy you get and will have for the next 10-15 years, I'd say we need to. I just don't think that guy is in this draft.

Still, I wouldn't be upset with a 6th or 7th round kicker.

I'm actually hoping we draft one with the 6th or 7th pick. I do not trust Graham & don't like anyone we could get through free agency.
