This would be a very solid choice, but Vandy is not nearly as generous with aid as the Ivy League schools, so you could end up with a monster bill.
My cousin had a 4.0+, 34 ACT, and numerous extracurriculars....but because the family is wealthy, he has to pay the entirety of the cost of attendance. I think it is close to 60,000 a year.

Vandy is now in upper 60's; glad my daughter decided against it.
