So Tywin is a 30k millionaire living on credit? I'm disappoint

Paying attention to what Tywin wants probably is the smart thing to do. But how do you control the north with out the Sansa-Tyrion love child? If Sansa wasn't valuable to the Lannisters she'd already be dead.

Maybe Tywin knows about Bran and Rickon? Just spitballing here, but if he knows they are still alive then Sansa is worthless I think.

I don't think Tywin would just kill her for no reason though. Maybe this was a way to execute her with cause.

Hate to get away from the main discussion here but I do have a slight gripe about this show. I love it's depth and all but there is so much going on, so many stories moving forward at once, that you barely get to see too much of anything in 1 episode.

I mean here we are coming on week 4 and all we've seen Khaleesi do is move her army some and just now has approached a city. That's it.

I said the same thing last season. And that was before several of the plots got wrapped up with the Red Wedding. At one point, there were like 8-10 legit, major storylines going on, and you'd only get to about 5-6 per episode. It's a great show, but sometimes it gets too broad IMO. The only good thing about that is that there isn't a lot of time for filler bullshite scenes, so almost every scene is relatively important to advancing things.*

* except for a lot of this past episode...seemed like lots of filler.

Right now, we've got:

Across the Narrow Sea
- Dany trying to put together her army and get across to Westeros...no telling how many more fricking cities she has to go through
- there's always Jorah, Barristan Selmy, and Daario as well

King's Landing
- Joffrey is now dead
- Tyrion's trial
- Oberyn ready to frick shite up to avenge his sister
- Cersei/Jaime relationship
- Varys and whatever he's getting into
- Sansa/Petyr Baelish and whatever is going on there
- Loras/Cersei wedding (now off maybe?)
- Old lady and Margaery Tyrell and what their role is now
- Brienne is hanging around as well
- Podrick and Bronn as well, since Tyrion fired Pod and may not be able to pay Bronn anymore

The North
- Wildlings (Ygritte and Tormund Giantsbane and crew) are sacking villages with the Thenns, headed to Castle Black
- Mance Rayder and what he's up to (we haven't even seen him yet)
- Castle Black:
--- Crows preparing for battle
--- Jon Snow and whatever he's got going om
--- Sam and Gilly (who is now not even in castle Black anymore..she's in Mole's Town, and that will come into play I assume)
--- a new angle of Karl and the mutiny at Craster's Keep (and how the Crows will handle that)
- Rickon and Osha (no idea where they are at this point)

North of the Wall
- Bran, Hodor, Jojen, Meera and that whole thing (and where they're now heading)

Riverlands
- Hound and Arya still making their way to Lysa at the Vale of Arryn
- the Mountain is still somewhere around (and also may play into the Tywin/Oberyn pact)

Dragonstone
- Melissandre is still fire lord of light-ing it up and executing people
- Shireen still teaching Davos how to read
- Davos now thinking about borrowing from the Iron Bank of Braavos to hire sellswords from Essos
- Gendry hasn't been seen since Davos released him

Dreadfort
- Ramsay Snow is still a psycho
- Theon is now Reek and seems to be completely submissive (we shall see)
- Roose Bolton is pissed at Ramsay for turturing Theon because he wanted to trade with the Iron Islands
--- Ramsay/Reek are sent to Moat Cailin to take it
--- Locke is sent to find and kill Bran, Rickon, and Jon Snow

And that doesn't even cover other main characters that I am forgetting.

So all of that is currently going on right now. That's a fricking LOT of stories to get through with hour-long episodes once a week (and only ten a season). The good news is that some of them should be converging together (similar to the Red Wedding), so there will be fewer to have to get through. But yeah, it's a little aggravating that SO MUCH is going on sometimes. But at least almost all of it is good/interesting though.

It goes a lot better when you can binge watch. I watched 1-3 in the last month or so and that makes set up episodes like this one actually seem good because it builds anticipation to see the next one rather than "I have to wait an entire week to get some action?". I wish I could wait and binge 4 but it's too hard to avoid spoilers.

If they would make the damn episodes about 1:15 each week it wold help tremendously. Some end up only being about 45 min.

Agree. I finished 1-3 in less than two weeks.

2 minute previously on GOT, 2 minutes of credits and a 2.5 minute intro will do that. I'm probably in the minority but I really hate their intro.

Agreed. And it's also one reason season one is so awesome...there just isn't that much stuff going on, so the focus is on a few things that can be completely fleshed out and whatnot.

Same here, they could save a lot of time if they just started the episode without it. Credits can come at the end.

I mean, over the course of the 10 episode season they are throwing away about half an episode worth of time all for their intro.

Are we for sure the Lannisters are in a bunch of debt to the Iron Bank?

I seem to remember in season 1 they said the throne was in debt to a lot of people including the lannisters. I also believe Tyrion saying the Iron Bank is not as forgiving as his father. I'm guessing they don't want to pay off the debt becasue it would zero their personal family account....so is anyone currently worrying about paying back the actual cash?

I hate when I look and see there are only 10 min left in the episode. It's like shite! There is still do much to cover! Slow down.

Yes. Not only them but K'sL as well. The Lannisters are rich in their own right, but have also borrowed from the IBoB, but K'sL is indebtted to the IBoB for millions (partly due to the Lannisters).
