I wouldn't peg her any higher than 35 or so.

I just can't see Tywin killing Tyrion. He may banish him to the other side of the narrow sea or something but I don't think he'd kill his own son.

Agreed. Furthermore, I think he harps too much on the legacy of the Lannister name to let Tyrion go down in history as KJ's assassin.

That and the fact that he is the smartest one out of all the children. If he can make babies with a noble born woman that would make Twyin happy if assume. Jaime and Tommen are the last Lannisters (after Tyrion)aren't they?

In the previous episode, they kept referring to Jaime being 40. He and Cersei are twins...

This. He made that big talk before about how when Tyrion was born and Tywin saw his wife was dead and his son was born a dwarf, he wanted to just put him in the sea and let him float away. But he didn't, because "[he's] a Lannister!"

Plus, if Jaime keeps refusing to go be the lord of Castelly Rock, Tywin may have to work something out with Tyrion.

Qyburn would take care of it for her... or she could get moontea to miscarry.

Now that would be interesting. Then Tyrion would have someone to play with.

Is the marriage between Cersei and the gay Tyrell still a possibility? Maybe they could rush the marriage and pretend it's his baby.

This is assuming she actually gets pregnant, I'm probably way off on all of this.

I have serious reservations regarding Twyin believing that was remotely true. Tyrion is too smart to poison the king and he knows that.

Rewatching season 3 and it's so glaringly obvious that Bolton has turned on Robb about 3 episodes before the Red Wedding.

I can't believe as much time has been spent discussing dick airtime as the plot to kill Joffrey.

I think it's very likely that both Olenna and Tywin were involved. Little Finger's recent increase in power comes directly from those 2, he's not about to take being queen away from house Tyrell and kill a "Lannister" king on his own. Tywin benefitted the most and Olenna seems pretty certain Margaery will still end up queen. The thing I don't get is who was the intended fall guy? I can't believe Tywin was ok with a plan that implicated Tyrion, there still is no heir to the Lannister name, so until either Tyrion or Jamie make a non incestual baby, he's not going to let either of them get taken down.

Sansa can't remain "key to the North" if she's considered to be part of the plot against Joffrey. So burning her also doesn't make sense. Is the Fool going to end up being the fall guy? Was the plan to pull a Princess Bride and try and blame it on some foreigner and then Tyrion got in the way?

I'm interested to see where this Iron Bank plot goes. Is the crown in debt to the Iron Bank, the Lannisters and the Tyrells, or is it using money from the Lannisters and Tyrells to keep current on its payments to the Iron Bank? Tywin and Olenna talked about it like it was a big deal, but I didn't get that they were close to foreclosing on Kings Landing by backing Stannis, a man who's already lost one army in a failed attempt to take KL.

And I agree with Coco's general feelings on the episode. I'm not going to go so far as to call it filler, but it felt like there were too many story lines addressed so they all suffered a bit. This is definitely an episode best suited for the middle of a binge.

Yeah with the amount of gravitas in that dong shot, it probably should have gotten its own thread.

Sansa. When Joffrey dies, Tywin immediately starts saying to shut down KL so she can't get away.

KL is backed by the Lannisters but the Lannisters have borrowed 10s of millions from the Iron Bank.

Paying attention to what Tywin wants probably is the smart thing to do. But how do you control the north with out the Sansa-Tyrion love child? If Sansa wasn't valuable to the Lannisters she'd already be dead.
