That's silly.
It was obviously a case of reefer madness brought on by colorado's godless stance on that damned devil weed.

I know OKC was done in direct correlation to Waco, but it is surprising that these have been in common.
I wonder if there has been some sort of psychological study done as to if the time of year has something to do with it.

My guess is still there is no reason. just a bunch of frickups ruining it for everyone else.

Interesting case because there is quite a bit of information about the killers available (videos, journals, etc).

Anything you would recommend?

I know from reading the Reddit AMA that they stripped and closed down the Library. It's just an empty space right now.

Also, the way that the school handled the aftermath was completely botched. Granted, it was the first time anything like this had happen on such a large scale.

There is something very odd about Columbine that I have only told one person about because I like being alive. Thats all I am saying.

Ruby Ridge was one year earlier than Waco.

OKC was a retaliation for Ruby Ridge & Waco. The Columbine shooters idealized McVeigh [and I remember reading somewhere that one of the shooters wanted to fly a plane into a NYC building].

Any interesting facts either of you would care to share?
Well, the public perception that Harris & Klebold that were friendless loners a part of a "Trenchcoat Mafia" isn't entirely accurate. They had friends- Klebold had even went to the Columbine prom with a date the Saturday before the shooting. And they weren't necessarily in this "mafia" - more like they had friends in it.

They were a clique of geeks who played with computers and were into extracurriculars (sports excluded). They liked to wear trenchcoats and probably fedoras.

"There was a Trench Coat Mafia. It wasn't manufactured by the media. It wasn't a gang or anything - just a bunch of wannabe goth kids who wore trenchcoats." - Columbine survivor Brooks Brown

Why start a thread about this? Why give these people even MORE notoriety?
