May Mr. Hill rest in peace.
Grew up listening to the LSU games on radio, and after marriage loaded the kids up (with some snacks) and drove to the top of a nearby hill to pick up the signal. The kids were usually out cold by half-time, but those broadcasts introduced them to Tiger football in the same way it introduced me.
And then there was the noon show, Walter, Jean, and ... Sid Crocker, maybe??? Can't recall, but my grandmother never missed it (for a time she had the only TV in the family
).
I just wish I could have met and thanked him.
