Because I don't make a lot of money I can't afford a health insurance plan... however, a lot people think I should have one. Therefore, eventhough I can't afford it, I'm going to be charged (taxed) for not having it.

If Alabama would have expanded Medicaid like was originally proposed in Obamacare you would be okay. The blame goes to the politicians in your state.
