To start any thread about baton rouge driving is simple to answer. They are all idiots all of them. Half of our traffic problems are from idiot drivers period.

I see several responses with the "stop so you can see the tires of the car in front as taught in drivers ed/defensive driving" and tbat is what I figured must be happening now days. I wasn't taught that and, although it is surely safer on some level, it just seems that a full car length between every car is excessive.

It definitely has an effect on how many cars can get through a light cycle.
