Good game Barves.

I'll never understand why we're above-average on the road and complete dogshit at home, but whatever.

none of those were me, but i wasn't too far from those dudes. i wasn't wearing any visible barves stuff. it was too damn cold. i had my jersey on under my coat

excellent game, though. the loudest the mets fans got was when they broke up the no-no. dicks.

Great post but put me in the "he was at 120 pitches" crowd. Again, Fredi managed the game perfectly. He wasn't gonna be able to go 9 so no reason not to shut him down after 7 in a tight game in which he had been giving walks. Great performance by everyone tonight, but still frick avian for screwing the team no hitter

You nailed me. Congrats you dumbass

In all seriousness, the last thing we need is arguably our best pitcher this season to go down with an injury or not be available at the tail end of the season leading into the playoffs because he was overworked in the beginning of the season. If he had just hit 100 in the 7th, I probably would have let him trot out there in the 8th and see what he could do. However, given his 7th inning struggles he was looking at another 20+ pitch inning which is way too taxing on an arm this early in the season. I would have liked to see a righty come in and face Wright, especially with how little our BP had been used over the past couple of games, but beggars can't be choosers.
