On the plus side.

Capello didnt pick Joe Hart for England initially because his distribution sucked (still isnt great) and your buddy scored best in that.

the interesting thing is that this guy is probably very, very good and just isn't close to a pro player. so now his friend thinks he sucks because his "pro combine" results suck. how do you even get to the point of being evaluated like that by legit guys?

The fact that he was accepted to the combine in the first place probably means he was at least decent. I mean shite if you played in college you probably can claim to be better than most other Sunday league goalies, but if you brag about it you're probably a tool.

eh my friends and i get drunk and talk about who is better at what sports all the damn time. you're right that is just a "who can out douche the others" contest, but it's fun and innocent. could be something like that and this OP has had enough of hearing about it

There are a couple of players from Louisiana on there. They are very, very good and rated accordingly, but the ratings aren't 1 to Ronaldo.

Honestly, it's kind of fricked up if the guy mentioned this combine once and never brought it up again, because he likely meets most people's criteria for being good at something.

hmm that site is cool. just looked at a couple guys that im familiar with. it's interesting for sure. for simple things like speed and quickness, the guy that is widely accepted as faster and quicker got lower scores.

they both got all 3s and 4s and one of them starts in the MLS right now. so that's interesting to notice.

A guy at my uni was bought by Huddersfield in January, hes been injured a bit but even when fit he was only on the bench.
This shows me just how ridiculously high standard pros are, he used to score at will in the top university league and was mesmorising to watch.

There was a guy like that in my league. A lot of guuy played D1 and this guy was one of the best in the league. Just dominant.

He tried out for the Revs and didn't even get a call back. Puts things in perspective.

The gap between people who get paid to play soccer and people who get paid a lot to play soccer is pretty impressive too, especially in person. I watched Marcos Senna play in the NASL last year. The opposing team was closing him down with numbers deep in his own half, and it was just absolutely fricking pointless. He just did just about whatever the hell he wanted to do.

Right, but what fun is that for the OP? Its way more enjoyable for him to tell his buddy he's awful.
