quote:

Snowden's motivations may have been principled

You say this and then proceed to say that...

quote:

he is still a traitor who should be killed or thrown in a prison until he is dead.

If he's a bad person like you say, why in the hell would you say he has principled motivations?

quote:

There were other, far less damaging ways for him to blow the whistle on the NSA.

Already been over this and I'll repeat myself again...

People are so naive and ignorant if they think Snowden could have successfully blown the whistle using "proper" channels. frick no, the gov't may talk a good game about transparency and honesty but that is complete lip service bull shite. They only want to get Snowden black bagged and stick him in a hole in the middle of nowhere. The number one instinct of the state is self preservation and image maintenance. It doesnt matter how noble it may be, if it makes the gov't uncomfortable, they're putting an end to that shite any way possible. We wouldn't have heard anything at all out of Snowden had he gone through the "proper" channels and gov't would be getting away with more bull shite lol.

The Patriot Act probably never would have passed had Congress known to what extent it would really be used. It's a perfect example of what happens when our civil liberties are forfeited in the name of national security.

Any new gun laws would be abused as well. I'm convinced. When George W. Bush said, "fool us once... well... we just won't be fooled", I hope he was right.
