Think about it....TCU was originally a home/home, OK was originally a home/home..."future" schedules mean virtually nothing. IF, tv $ comes calling, all "sellable" OOC games are on the table...inmho
Don't care if you don't like it...recent history indicates MORE games will be "neutral site" !

Why do you think we picked an east coast team located in NY? Would you rather them cancel the series with TCU moving to the Big 12? shite happens

Duh, which is what everyone keeps trying to drill into your head.

Bitching when LSU actually schedules the home/away series that you keep screaming for is just bitchy and whiny though.

You aren't going to be happy no matter what. It has a higher chance to be played if it is actually scheduled, wouldn't you agree?

Funny how you say EVERY home/home was "sold", yet you list one home/home that was moved to a neutral site (sold!!!) and one that was postponed.

Go on and name some other ones.

What percentage of home/home series that aren't scheduled are played?

I'm pretty positive that # is around 0.

Yeah, because we "sell" all of them before they're even scheduled, idiot.

Hey, don't blame me...you've convinced me ! ANY ooc home game is "up for sale", I'm just embracing the good news and fully expecting few, if any good/great home OOC games. You should be overjoyed ! By the way...2017 is a LONG ways off and if the money is right, don't be surprised to see the Syracuse "home" game, played in the Superdome. The dome people are late to the table with the "neutral site games", but are itching to get going....it would be a perfect game for them.

remember when Vandy used to "sell" some of their HOME SEC games ? I think the last one was the home game vs. FL which was played in Jacksonville,FL ! Maybe LSU could get more $ playing an "occasional" SEC home game in the Superdome...say vs. Miss St,Mizzou,Vandy... hell Tiger stadium is never sold out for them and 1/2 empty by the 3rd qtr. TV $ would more than make up for the inconvienience...lol

This is going to be a home and home. If you read the thread, the OP admitted that he got the dates wrong/screwed up the title. We're going to be in Baton Rouge on September 9, 2017.

I hope we get a bunch of cuse fans in here. I love anticipated games cause opposing fans come and chat.

I hope so, the early season games in BR are kind of miserable with the heat.

I'm more pissed about getting a forced bye week in november in order to play A&M on thanksgiving

I'd imagine the contract puts an enormous buyout for Syracuse if they want to move/cancel. There isn't a reason to move the game after we play in NY

You may be right...but, any game that far out,I'd be concerned about ! Remember, the Superdome is looking to join the "neutral site" sweepstakes and I would not put it past Alleva, to sell the game...lol

We play @ syracuse next year. Once we play that game, I'd imagine moving/cancelling would be a contractual nightmare.

Neutral site games work b/c you get home game money without having to give a return trip. That wouldn't happen.

I'd much rather play in Nola in early september than BR anyways, but if we do it would be against a bigger name. Syracuse works for a home/away due to their TV market

Chances are MORE than good that the Syc. "return" game in 2017 will be "sold" to the N.O. superdome.

I would have thought that too but given the fact that SU is willing to play a "home and home", TS exceeding 100K, and the SEC Network in play then I see no reason to sell it to another venue. If it is opening day it will likely have enough schedule clout to warrant an excellent TV slot while at TS. I just hope they don't make it a day game...

I hope you are correct. Game is still too far out, lots of stuff can happen and IF the Superdome group comes up with enough money to entice them, I would not put it past the LSU Admins. to sell/move the game. Cash is the only thing that seems to matter these days...lol

boom

They sound like a great group of fans. Need to invest a little in their site development though. I'm sure lsu will show them a good time. Not sure how well we will travel next year though. Is there an alumni base up there?

Serious truth here:

There is tailgating and then there is SEC Style Tailgating and LSU is on the far right side of the Bell Curve for Tailgating. Out tailgate scene is Pre-K and theirs is PHD worthy.
