You totally misread the report.
Because the makeup of lower income populations are the worst offenders in failing to use contraceptives- Latinos (Catholics) and African-Americans (hate condoms and lack of access to the pill).
Those two populations are having a disproportionate amount of babies compared to the other populations due to almost nil- birth control mitigating factors.

Well, upon second inspection I see that the program goal includes the reduction of "births", which would be an unnecessary inclusion if the aim were just to reduce teen pregnancy... so, I'm going to retract my previous post.

Promoting contraction in these communities to lower the birth rate is one thing. But at the same time promoting abortion in these communities is another. Birth control does not equal abortion. The CDC is conflating the two and hiding the fact that black and brown babies are being killed at a disproportionate rates under the guise of "birth control". Just look at the numbers. It's plain as day.

Margaret Sanger would be proud of the CDCs work here.

No it isn't.

While the abortion statistics are appalling, I don't see where the CDC is actually promoting it. By decreasing the conception rate you automatically decrease the birth rate. I think the article twists the words of the CDC report because of how they used that wording. I could be wrong, but that is my interpretation.
Say that without interventions, there would be 275 pregnancies per 1000 teenage girls, and of these 125 are aborted and 150 are carried to term and born.
With interventions that pregnancy rate drops to 200 pregnancies per 1000 teenage girls. Of those 200, 100 are aborted and 100 are carried to term and born. You now have a reduction in pregnancy rate, birth rate and abortion rate for that population.

I read earlier that the IRS now thinks that an abortion is a tax exempt deductible transaction on the part of "patients".

I'm curious to see how many African American deaths there were in NYC in 2012. They couldn't have had much of a net population growth based on birth to death ratio with that many abortions.

Planned Parenthood was started to kill black babies. I thought this was common knowledge?

Well apparently they are no longer racist.

This is exactly why birth control should be promoted, not discouraged. I don't give a crap about anyone's religious beliefs. I give a crap about tax dollars going to pay for countless expensive abortions. Condoms are cheap.

I hate condoms too. But I would hate the expenses of a baby more.
I see your point, but why is it the CDC's problem to solve an issue of anyone "hating condoms"? We all hate them. Some of us just actually have and practice an understanding of personal responsibility....
