Almost the same thing happened to my son in law about eight years ago, but it was a pair of scissors instead of a pistol.

My son in law and daughter lived in Nashville at the time. My mother in law had wrapped his Christmas present and inadvertently placed her scissors in the package after cutting the wrapping paper. He had no idea the scissors were in the package.

His story mirrors yours as to the manner the interrogation went down.

I'm sorry but shite like this pisses me off. The second amendment says I can carry a gun. I understand that you can't take it on an airplane and I support that, but for fricks sake people make a mistake sometimes. Particularly when they CC or are avid gun enthusiasts. They should not be FINED for absent mindedly leaving a gun (thier personal property) inside a bag (also thier personal property)

I'm all for the extra searches, interrogations, and being added to a "list" but frick that fine, that's horseshite.
