I think he's stating that because they refuse to take the government benefits that they're entitled to and continually vote against their own self interests (as far as benefits are concerned) is what makes them suckers.

Only partially, but of course an opposite side of this coin is that the D. party does little to nothing to court their favor. In fact, it arguably goes out of its way to not court their favor, thereby leaving them with only one viable choice.

If there's a point that I took from that article, its that there's no point in giving a shite about a system that takes you for granted and considers you a revenue-stream only. Hell, a system that actively works to disenfranchise you on many levels. Donovan advocates for more tribalism. Its what everybody else does anyway.

It kinda looks the same, but it isn't. What you posted is a Neo-con talking point on why blacks should vote GOP. What I posted is a white guy saying "Don't fool yourself thinking that either side has your back". One is a plea for black republicans, and the other is a guy recoiling in disgust and saying "the system is fricked as far as you are concerned".
