They look like the spawn of turtles that were raped by E.T. It's pathetic when the TMNT looked better in 1990 than in 2014. It's kind of like how the Predator from 1987 looks better than anything we've seen in 2004, 2007, or 2010...only worse.

I could live with the nostrils, the lips are pretty bad.

Yes, yes it does. One looks good because of practical visual effects that still hold up really well 24 years later and one looks like shite CGI.

You can't say computer graphic imagery looks like shite when I can see the actors face through the mask in the one you say holds up so well.

I don't see a mask in the pic I posted. You must have better eyes. Go on though, I hope you enjoy the new film, I really do. But I cannot get behind it. IMO it's shitting all over the story, the characters, and even the previous films which are over two decades old by this point. Having Megan Fox as April, a white Shredder, and a pararmilitary foot clan are inexcusable in and of themselves, nevermind the fact that the turtles aren't even taken into account.
