MLB has offered to pay for the wooden bats but for some reason the NCAA has refused the offer. I remember distinctly Skip Bertman telling me this.
The game today is unwatchable. Go to MLB balls and wooden bats ASAP!

MLB has not ever offered to pay.
And let's talk about the legistics. Who do they pay? The bat companies? the NCAA? the Schools?
Which brings us to: Who orders the bats? The schools? The NCAA? Or the MLB?
Does each school get a certain amount? Or a certain number of bats? Unlimitted?
What about the NAIA? And NJCAA? They'll need wood bats too. Or are those schools/kids on there own since the deal is just between the NCAA and MLB. That's great since those are the poorest baseball programs.
