if they decided to add any coverage, it should be on thursday or friday
This is mostly what I am referring to. I can work from home when I choose. It would be nice to work all day with the Masters on. I may be not be remembering correctly, but I believe the best two rounds of the weekday rounds finished before ESPN coverage started. That is pretty disappointing.

I watch golf for the same reasons I watch any sport, the drama of athletes competing at a high level. It's the human competitive desire that pushes these guys to the top of their game. I enjoy watching how the professionals react when so much is on the line. I watch because on the last day of a major tournment, everyone of the players in contention have spent hours, and hours, and hours practicing to prepare themselves for this chance to achieve a lifelong dream. I watch to see the emotion involved in that. We know that some players have missed a 2 1/2 foot putt to miss that dream. We know that some players have needed only to make a double bogey on the last hole, and yet they hit two of the worst shots of their life to triple bogey the hole and lose in a playoff. We have seen players grab that pressure by the throat and make 4 birdies in a row to charge to a win. We have seen miracle chip ins in a playoff, we have seen a player seemingly stimied in the woods hit a 150 yard shot that purposely makes a near 90 degree turn to put the ball on the green and win the tournament.
It's competition, and it's people winning and losing. It's the emotion of all the years of hard work paying off. Even on the non-majors, you likely have a player trying to win a tournament for the first time at the pro level. How will they handle it? Will they succeed or fail. You line somebody up for a 6 foot par putt to win a big tourmament and it's just as intense as a kid shooting the front end of a one and one with :02 left in the game while trailing by 1.

I also think attending the Masters could make anyone an avid golf fan.
I would disagree

No.
I don't want to straight up say you're clearly wrong, but...

But see, sports like football have the same goal, but there are thousands of plays one could run in order to gain these goals. I mean, you could say that you hit the ball differently and account for the wind and all but it all comes down to the same thing, hitting a ball.
Yea, kinda like when it all comes down to it, all they're doing is running the ball...
That's not really your argument is it?
If anything, golf has more variables...I'm not just talking about wind and yardage. I'm talking about obstacles, terrain, and oh by the way, one other person on your team that can help you.

No, the thousands of patrons at The Masters over the weekend and the millions watching it on tv all really hate golf and don't find it to be entertaining at all.

It's not like it is the most sought after ticket in sports or anything.

I find golf to be fascinating. As with any sport, it goes alot deeper than "man hit ball. ball go in hole."
There is club selection, shot selection, reading a green etc... All of it fascinates me and I am blown away sometimes by how easy these guys make it look.

This is, quite possibly, the dumbest thread of all time.
ETA: Substitute football for golf in your original question.. and just think about how dumb that sounds. The question you posed is equally dumb.
