Nonetheless, the issue is ultimately taxpayer cost. Currently the costs would be shouldered by the Feds. Later . . . not so much.
When correspondant state obligations kick in, the chickens will come home to roost.

That would be a swell argument except that it doesn't fly when Louisiana is helping other states to get a 9 to 1 return on their dollars.
Like I said, Jindal lost the battle about Medicaid expansion. His argument only matters if the package for the entire country had been defeated. Right now it's all just sour grapes, apparently designed to portray himself as some hardlined rightwinger in his desire for national office.
