Update. I went Merkur. I love it. It took me a while to get used to it, but now I am finally comfortable shaving around my chin scar for the first time in my life. And I am baby smooth. Definitely had plenty of blood and razor burn the first week, but once my arm and brain were on the same page about letting the razor do the work, it was smooth sailing.
