Errr, some people have no choice. I have not see you make this argument, but when min wage comes up the solution people have is work more! Get a 2nd job! (in addition to improve your skills).

For many in the US, its not a choice to work 60 hours or 40 hours. They have to work 60 hours to survive.

personally i work about 25 hrs a week, but have to appear to work 50 (i.e. be available for calls)

Errr, until Tim answers the question of why he works that much I guess we're all just speculating as to why he doesn't have a life according to Toddy.

Something makes me think that Tim is not working 80 hours a week to put food on the table to survive.
