Would an organized group of people be a good or bad thing? A group that any US citizin can join and be called upon on during cituations. Everyone has a right to stand up but standing up alone is tough. Calling upon your fellow Americans that are willing to join the fight could be useful.

No one asked you to believe it...just to "consider" what they may or.may not have found out...

You do realize that IF what they reported IS true, this won't be the first time the government has done this...

Has done what? Attempted to seize livestock for free grazing?

Someone send in Obama, Kerry, and Kissenger so we can deescalate this situation. The last thing we need is Crimea slipping through our fingers again. Putin has to be involved here.

I purchased the remained 28 years of a 75 year lease of 6500 acres

...and enlighten us as to what you pay for said 47 year old lease? I'm sure it's market rate, and your aren't sucking the gubmint teat like Bundy.

Boudreaux's grandson
You don't read too well, do you? I'll repeat...
quote:

Uh...do you have any familiarity with a BLM or Forest Service grazing leases whatsoever? They are quite intricate with deliverables required of both parties, and it's nothing like the typical quid pro quo Lessor/Lessee arrangement you're familiar with. The "rent" charged by the government represents only a fraction of the lessee's expenditures on the land that benefits the govt.
...
People need to get out of their Deed-oriented mindset of property ownership and understand that there are other forms of land ownership/possession. Folks are not understanding is that possession by Deed and Claim both forms of possession.
"Market rate"? Are you on drugs? You obviously have no clue how this stuff works. How much did I pay? A hell of a lot more than you can afford. Furthermore, that land will revert back to the supplier of your Obammie phone when I'm dead.

Does it make me money? No. It runs in the red due to ever-changing Gubment rules to pay for your cheese. I maintain it because I love the land and use it as a retirement home/retreat.

Can I just let it set there? No. I MUST run cattle on it or I lose the lease. I must also utilize a certain amount of water or I lose those water rights also. This stuff costs money to maintain and operate.

Can I run enough cattle to make the land profitable? Not a chance in hell. The Feds change the rainfall/soil porosity/vegetative formulas every two years which always seems to result in fewer cattle, even when the summer monsoons have the countryside lush and green.

No big deal for me...fewer cattle mean less hassle. But for the others in the area who depend upon production for their livelihood are damn near qualifying for food stamps. But Mung, apparently you have no real problem with that, do you?

But there is always one constant...the gubment is always willing to buy back these old leases for pennies on the dollar. Do you need this spelled out for you, buckwheat?

Hey Mung. This is the kind of shite folks are up against.

I'm reminded of a quote by an esteemed OB'er....what was it....hmmm, oh yeah....it was "Go take a napalm bath and strike a match, you fricking failed abortion". I don't know why you make me think of that.

Now GTFO and go blather your ignorant drivel over on the OB with the other know-it-all punks.
