I had Old Republic home warranty the first year after we bought our house (came with the home). Our bathroom vent went out and they sent some sketchy repair man out to "fix" the issue. It worked for about a month and went out again. They gave me the runaround when I called them about it, which just happened to be around our renewal, and I decided not to renew. I had another electrician come out and look at it and he fixed the issue without a hitch. I called them before I decided not to renew with some questions about the warranty. They would only cover about $1500 to replace a new AC unit.
ETA: My AC went out about a year after I decided not to renew
