Home Warranty Advice

Knowing that these bastards always opt to repair vs replace, have any of you ever received new AC units through a home warranty when they finally break down? My HSA warranty ends at the end of the month, and I wasn't planning on re-upping it due to the fact that I would keep paying $75 a visit for them to keep replacing parts for an 12 year old unit.
Should I re-up with coverage, or start saving for a new unit? I think I can get 1 more summer out of it. TIA

There's probably a max that they will pay towards a new AC and it's probably no where near the cost of a new unit

Every time I have had a contractor out here, they have always hooked it up and said something terminal needed to be replaced. Warranty Co paid, and it got replaced.
If they are replacing something, you can also pay extra to get higher quality stuff

They'll nickel and dime you to death with things that aren't covered like a new plenum and ductwork because the old one doesn't fit the new unit. Dump their sorry asses before they screw you even more.
