Don't be so dramatic. Delivery is every bit or more important than content when you are talking about two or three hours of a game broadcast on the radio. While I like Charlie, his delivery is boring. If you are not willing to admit that, you are not being honest.

Hawthorne's delivery is much more easy to the ear even with what some want to bitch about like not stating game over with the third out of the ninth.

At this time in his career, Hannagriff couldn't hold Hawthorne's jock when it comes to broadcasting and I like Charlie on his show.

But you are ok with your sports broadcaster not understanding the sport he is calling?

Charlie is great if you want to know what is going on in the game, different rules, stats, and trivia tidbits from past seasons.

Jim is great for the big play.

That being said, because I want to know what's going on when I can't be at the game or watch the game on tv, I prefer Charlie over Jim.

I think a solution for LSU is to let Jim continue calling Football and Basketball and let Charlie handle Baseball full time.

jim's delivery is fricking terrible. he is super loud and excited on outs and dull on home runs.

2 things a radio guy should excel with...tone control based on the action at hand and content, he has neither
