No...I'm such a fan of the original, that I just couldn't do a remake. I'm just not a big fan of remakes, in general...Is it worth it?

I thought it was a pretty interesting take on the material. I had the heebeegeebees by the end. If you're a fan of the genre, its worth checking out.

Makes you wonder what Rami could've done with an actual budget.

I'm not a huge fan of the Exorcist, mainly because I don't really like "demonic possession" films. Part of that is due to, well, the success of The Exorcist and now every movie follows every trope and hits every beat. I did think the original Paranormal Activity was an interesting twist on the old themes.

If you like Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, I'm not quite sure what you're looking for. That's a great movie, but I wouldn't really call it horror. It's not "scary" per se, not is American Psycho. Halloween works as a non-paranormal horror. As does The Vanishing.

Or just watch Audition.

Audition disturbed me in a very real way. If you've had the stalker ex-girlfriend, or the girl that became obsessed after you fricked once, and never called again, Audition seems VERY real.

It gets mixed reviews though, it doesn't scare everyone, but it will gross you out.

Who would play each role if this movie was cast today?

I didn't find it scary, but it was just unnerving...The whole gritty vibe and subject matter just left you feeling dirty and "creeped" out. It resonated in my head a few days after viewing it. That's more than I could say for any movie today that is set with "dark themes" "Psychological thrillers", etc.

I laugh too hard in American Psycho, it being one of my favorite movies. Halloween is a great movie that sets an ominous tone.

I guess I would be looking for more things like Henry, I suppose

it's hard to imagine anyone but Linda Blair as Reagan, James Woods should definitely play the old priest.

Vampires in love was not meant to be a horror flick.

28 days later was a scary damn zombie movie.
