This. Just eliminates the doubt on seemingly flat putts, but if you aren't also factoring in the grain and possibly even the wind then you are just wasting time

the grass grows in a certain direction, and the balls seems to follow that path. That path can change throughout the day bc the grass follows the sun. A flat putt can break right in the morning and left in the afternoon

color and where the water is located are the best indicators of grain
darker color into the grain, lighter down grain
grain always grows toward a water source

And I actually had to google that. I've never seen that movie. Looks awful, but I have a strong disdain for Will Smith.
