Thought the same after the first ep. Actually took me twice to get through it. It starts out sorta confusing, but it has to lay the groundwork and build the characters.
Stick with it through about 3 episodes. That is about how long it takes to start figuring out who is who. By the second half of the first season you will be pretty happy. By the conclusion of the first season you will be like holy frick
