Baby steps. He can start with doing enough research to learn how to pronounce players' names remotely correctly. I don't even need proper pronunciation. Just pronounce that shite phonetically. He can't even manage to do that right now.

It's such a lazy, cheap gimmick by FOX. They know that they aren't really risking alienating "hardcore" fans when they stick him on high profile games, and I'm assuming that they want to appeal to people who just like to hear Gus Johnson speak/people who watch a lot of sports but don't watch soccer regularly who will tune in to high profile games. They can appear to give a shite about their soccer coverage while utilizing someone they already employ.

Exactly. He's so bad it's not only distracting but almost unbearable. And now that he's learning more "English" terms to uneasily throw in like "getting joy" it's exponentially worse.


I wish FOX had zero matches I cared to watch.
