I wouldn't rule it out either, and I didn't intend for our earlier discussion to be read that way. I'm frustrated by the fact that American players can't seem to get opportunities on top teams, especially when other new soccer nations have/had players on top teams.

I think we can win a World Cup, but I think we are two generations away from really competing at the top tier. This is the hardest jump to make, and we've reached the second-tier without any real elite players, and I think we can push on now that our youth system seems on track.

I think we were arguing the same thing for pages. Dammit. Maybe we had big differences on when we expect to die.
