It is an interesting perspective. It's interesting that someone can have such a narrow perspective.
I mean look, there is some shade of truth to these types of articles. There's also a lot of lying by omission and factual inaccuracies. But let's be honest, some of what America "is" in our minds is myth. Our property rights are nearly identical to the property rights of communist China. We have a free and open press that is so lazy or complicit that they are rarely willing to diginto major issues. We have rights and freedoms etc until big brother NSA walks all over them.
The author is right in that America deserves criticism and could be much much better. The author is wrong in that emulating the rest of the world is not what America needs to do to improve itself.
