The majority of cheap torque wrenches..under 150, are made in China these days.

I bought three click style craftsmans from sears that had to be returned because they were cheap chinese crap and were way off new.

The ten dollar half inch torque wrench I bought from harbor freight when I was in a jam one saturday reads to within 2 ft lbs.

Is it a german stahlwille? No.

Does it work? Yeah.

Bought a few and put them in all the vehicles for spare tire changes.

There are lots of things you shouldnt buy at harbor freight, but if you arent buying a german, US, japanese, or swedish torque wrench...they are better than ANY of the other chinese ones.

250lbs is a lot of torque. What are you doing?

For that amount of torque, use an 18 inch breaker bar and lean on it. Cant imagine what needs to be that tight yet precise.
