If he is not going into the military as an engineer, then nuclear navy would most likely set you up for the best after you get out. Nuclear plants hire those guys like crazy.

If I was a HS grad and not college bound this is exactly what I would be interested in.
Once the FAA decides to issue guidance wrt civilian drones, I have a feeling that this industry is going to take off (pardon the pun) and some ex military guys are going to be in line for some very cush, high paying jobs.
