Good baseball to follow for a new person to the sport?

Never was really into the sport, but it seems as if the offseason gets longer and longer each year.. That and the fact I may go pick up The Show 14 just because it's that damn good.
What is/are a good baseball team(s) to follow for someone new to the sport and why? Never did really watch it,or follow it for that matter.
Please excuse my past distaste for the game of baseball.

The Rays because their a young good team to follow and they have one of the best managers in the game and one of the most innovative managers.

Whichever one is in your market unless you have MLBtv. Not much fun to follow something you can't watch.
Also proximaty should allow you to maek a trip to see them play live...which is much more fun.

Right now I would say the Pirates or Nats . Both have a young star position player and OF and they aren't some choice that will make people hate you like the Dodgers or Red Sox

Obviously the Braves. Budding superstar in Freddie Freeman, best closer in the game in Kimbrel.
Always manage to have a good pitching staff, and 3rd youngest roster in the MLB

Jump on the Astros bandwagon early with me, so we can casty people together in around 5 years when we're winning the World Series.

Plenty of room on this rays bandwagon. We welcome with open arms.
