All I gotta say is, do you you want to bust your back picking strawberries for $6/hour?

99.5% of the American work force wouldn't do it for $8 an hour. That is why I have no problem if an illegal wants to come in and work the fields.

If we truly lived in a country where people had to work for their food and shelter or starve, they damn sure would take these kind of jobs at $7 or $8 an hour I bet.

A few weeks ago, I spent a couple of days with a high school classmate, I hadn't seen in awhile. He's a crawfish and rice farmer in SW LA. He has two Mexican farm hands. He said if it wasn't for them, he wouldn't be able to find any help to run his farm. He pays above minimum wage and provides clean comfortable housing. And contrary to what Coulter believes, he sn't a multimillionaire by a long shot. He also said his farm hands were reliable hard workers.

On the other hand, if you work for $7 an hour these days--without food stamps or stealing or dumpster diving--you probably will starve.
