On a small moon of Saturn, hidden beneath nearly 25 miles of ice, researchers say they have identified an underground ocean of water that's at least as large as Lake Superior, the largest of North America's Great Lakes. The ocean was found at the south pole of Enceladus, a tiny moon about as wide as Arizona, putting the moon among the ranks of Saturn's Titan and Jupiter's Europa, which are also believed to hold oceans of water beneath frozen ice.

There is, of course, no way to say what's down there, and the researchers aren't speculating. Nonetheless, Cassini's project scientist, Linda Spilker, highlights why this potential is so intriguing: "Material from Enceladus’ south polar jets contains salty water and organic molecules," she says in a statement, "the basic chemical ingredients for life."

Is Enceladus the one that looks like the Death Star?

can't wait for humans to colonize it once it freezes, then pillage its resources, and destroy it over thousands of years as cautioned by a minority of the existing population.

First they say this...

quote:

There is, of course, no way to say what's down there

Then they say this....

quote:

and the researchers aren't speculating

but then they say this...

quote:

"Material from Enceladus’ south polar jets contains salty water and organic molecules," she says in a statement, "the basic chemical ingredients for life."

So if there is no way to say what's down there and they're not speculating, why does she them turn around and in the very next breath make a claim about what is down there?

So you're telling me that scientist can find water underneath 25 miles of ice on one of Saturn's moons, that is the size of Arizona, millions of miles away, yet we can't find a plane that crashed into one of the oceans on our own planet
