Look at 1998, and tell me which 4 teams you would have taken to the Playoff.

Tenn
FSU
OSU
UCLA
Wisconsin
Tulane
Arizona
Kansas State

All those teams has 0 or 1 loss going into bowl games. Tulane and Tenn were undefeated. Then you have 6 BCS programs at 1 loss...have fun

Someone watch The U on 30 for 30.

Can't believe Miami lost to BYU first game of the season.

Well...I'd automatically rule out Arizona because their one loss was a 52-28 destruction by UCLA. And even though Tulane finished undefeated I would throw them out due to being a mid-major and their schedule being soft (they didn't play a single ranked team all year). I would also throw UCLA out due to their loss to unranked Miami at the end of the year. Also their subsequent Rose Bowl loss doesn't help either.

So that leaves us: Tennessee, Florida State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Kansas State.

Tennessee is obviously in. They're #1 and 12-0. Kansas State, sadly, has to go because they lost last and lost in the Big 12 Championship Game.

So that leaves us with #1 Tennessee, #2 Florida State, #3 Ohio State and #5 Wisconsin. So the match-ups would be:

#1 Tennessee vs. #5 Wisconsin
#2 Florida State vs. #3 Ohio State
