Sorry brah it was a bad pass.

Todd Blackledge said "throw it up where only our guy can catch it" before he saw the replay and for some reason everyone thinks it was placed perfectly as a result.

That's not where it was thrown at all. It should have been thrown to the corner over Byrd's shoulder. Byrd basket caught it facing the defender.

Obviously it doesn't matter.

But it was placed horribly.

it was a speed route, had he thrown it to the corner Byrd would have had to slow up giving the DB a chance to break it up. As it was the corner didn't have much of a chance because Byrd had beat him down the field, he couldn't have turned his head or he would have lost more ground. Certainly Byrd made a great catch as well, but he never broke stride and the ball dropped right into his arms.

yes, certainly it would have been a better pass thrown 5 inches further...

if you want to use words like "horrible" and "terrible", go back and look at Russell's pass to Doucet on the PI overturn call vs. Auburn.
