Ba ba ba baaaaaaaaa ba ba ba ba baaaaaa

The draft has now officially started.

With the first pick in the 2014 MSB NFL Draft, the Houston Texans select Jadeveon Clowney DE/OLB, South Carolina

Look the draft is all about prospects, nobody is a sure thing. But as far as PROSPECTS go Clowney is head and shoulders above the rest. The QB class is not near good enough to warrant passing up a potential franchise defensive anchor in Clowney especially if you can pair him up with Watt and translate that work ethic.

With the 9th pick of the 2014 MSB Draft, the Buffalo Bills select:

Eric Ebron TE North Carolina

If the Bills look to bolster their offense here, they will want to find a tall, red-zone target to complement a relatively average-sized group.

After seeing potential in both Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin, a second- and third-round pick, respectively, in 2013, rounding out the offense with the dangerous Ebron fits.

ETA: They could very well pick an OT or safety in this spot, but I think Ebron is the missing piece to this offensive puzzle.

With the 10th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft presented by Tyson Chicken, KFC and Chik-Fil-A,

the Detroit Lions select...

Darqueze Dennard, 6'0, 196lbs. CB from Michigan State

The Lions need serious defensive backfield help and they feel that Denard gives them the best chance to sure that up. The like his ability to be aggressive and play one on one on an island as well as his attacking style at the line of scrimmage in run support. They need to make a statement on this side of the ball, and Darqueze can certainly make statements in pass defense, run support, and blitz packages.

With the 12th pick of the 2014 MSB (but really FSB) draft, the New York Football Giants select:

Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn

Eli Manning was sacked 39 times last season and starting LT Will Beatty is coming off a broken leg. With Robinson and 2013 first-rounder Justin Pugh on the edges, New York could get back to scoring points in bunches.

Lets be realistic though, no way in hell Greg Robinson falls this late in the draft...

Just a side note...shite on him for going to Auburn

The Baltimore Ravens select OT/OG Zack Martin

Baltimore's offensive line struggled last year so with this pick they take the best available O-lineman. Martin played tackle in college and perhaps he could play tackle in the pros but his size is a bit of concern. Either way, he has the kind of versatility the Ravens need on a line that needs to get tougher.

WR is a need but in a draft loaded at WR, Ozzie Newsome and co. can find help later on.

Okay first off, the Pats are trading this pick. Guareenteed. Lock of the century. But since thats irrelevant in a mock ill give it a crack

And the smart thing to do is to takw an unsexy pick like Nix or a guard

but frick that. With the 29th pick in the MSB NFL Mock Draft, the New England Patriots Select......

Jace Amaro TE, Texas Tech

For the second year in a row in this mock, the Pats select a TE

Drawing on and off the field comparisons to Rob Gronkowski was just too hard to pass up to create a Batman and Robin duo of slaying Boston poon

As for on the field, Amaro brings back the 2 TE offense that feasted on defenses in 2012 which will also make way for a breakout year for 2nd year player Aaron Dobson on the outside. Hes a move Tight end like Hernandez but has the size and ability to also be a blocker which makes him all the more deadly. Pats pounce on the top heavy TE class early in the draft

With the 30th pick in the 2014 NFL draft.........

the 49ers select..........

Bradin Cooks.... WR, Oregon ST

Another weapon for Squidward Copernicus, Cooks the 2013-14 biletnikoff award winner, gives the 49ers one of the best WR groups in the NFL. They needed a slot receiver, and in my opinion this guy is better than Tavon Austin. With CJ Mosley off the board Cooks was the obvious choice.

Todd Mcshay, "Mel the 49ers are now elite at.."
Mel Kiper, "Todd are you kidding me?? I mean come on you see Dee Ford and Kony Ealy on the board and you take Cooks? They could have been an elite defense."
Todd Mcshay, "Mel they already have an elite defense."
Mel Kiper, "Todd what do you know about elite? You were too busy reading hustler, while i was reading stat sheets and watching old Jimmy Clausen highlights. Ya know what frick you Todd."
