Again, I just don't see how its anti American.

The owners themselves put caps in place for THEIR business.

Lets say we're talking about a 3 team league.

Why can't owners of teams A and B just cap their wages at whatever they want for their teams rather than colluding to prevent owner of team C from paying what he wants? If Team C owner's priority is winning over profits shouldn't that be his right without Team A and B forcing him into an artificial wage cap?

And all that without getting into how unfair and un-American it is for the players. They are being colluded against to prevent Team owner C to pay him his true free market value. That is pretty much the definition of anti-free market and anti-american.
