that's part of my point. the few elite players go to 5 or so schools. he doesn't have to worry about many teams

Look at a player like Marcus Smart though. He is a game changing guard that basically single-handedly took OSU to the tournament. There aren't players like that for the womens game.

Or Shabazz Napier. UCONN is a 7 seed in the FF.

I'm not sure if it's just the style of the womens game, or if there just aren't that many elite women out there.

I think that since they play below the rim and creating your own shot one-on-one isn't a reliable option for women that it may just be the style of play.
