That's bullshite , a good bit of black children have a huge disadvantage , when you grow up around the shite they do , poverty , drugs , crime and below par school systems how can anyone expect them to succeed .....

I wonder if I grew up in that environment would I be strong enough to see through the crap and be able to stay on a straight path to better myself , idk it's asking a lot from these kids that see life a certain way .....
And to the ones that make the right decisions and go on to better themselves congrats , you are a very strong and special person .....

now there are a lot of AA families that are great members of society , don't get me wrong .....

Thomas Sowell likes to point out that in 1950 more black children in America grew up in stable, two parent homes than white children did.

With the advent of modern welfare that number changed drastically with the federal and state governments taking over the father's role as provider.
