They cover cricket, tennis, golf, soccer, the Olympics, the World Cup, and other sports. What does that tell you?
ESPN doesn't actually cover those sports.

ESPN covers whatever makes money. We are now in a global market. They'd be foolish to only cover "American" sports. They know that if they truly want to be the worldwide leader of sports, they have to keep growing, and mostly into international markets.
