We will agree to disagree. But, I respect you and your opinion seems real and well considered.

My dad told me " I'll not make your way soft, because you will not get calluses by handling pillows. I'll not carry your load because you'll not develop muscles without pushing against resistance. "


Black college students can use calluses and muscles.

I think from that perspective, the thing is okay.

How about the correspondent lesson from perspective of the white students? Is their take-home message also "Black college students can use calluses and muscles?"

When I'm traveling, I'll try to drop in on a local church if I can. I've been to several black churches where I got what I needed. I remember one particular black church in MS where I got the major stink eye. I walked out of that church thinking they were a bunch of racists, but after a while I though they just may not have liked the way I dressed. Maybe it wasn't my skin color they were upset about.
