So my mother is in Miami right now and stopped at a liquor store to buy me beer (she always buys some cheap souvenir for my sibling and me on her trips) any I spoke with the guy running the bar and the only "craft" beer he had was something from Hawaii, so I told my mom to get it

Miami has a hard time getting good stuff. Tell her to try Total Wine. In that area she should be able to get Due South in stores. She could also hit Due South, Funky Buddha or Tequesta while down there.
