total- 1880.00

enjoy your stay!!
However, Texas has no state income tax. There is no argument here, we(South La) get screwed on housing compared to Texas. Our suburbs(Metairie), enjoy your circa 1960 1,800 sq ft house for 240,000 that is blocks off of major highways with no true neighborhood. Their suburbs, enjoy your circa 2010 house that is 2200 sq ft for 240,000 that is in a drive in neighborhood with a community center, pool, and possibly golf course

In 25 years that 1960 house will still be standing.

Bingo. We have a 3,443 square foot house that was built in 2011. The neighborhood is one of the fastest growing communities in the entire country. The neighborhood is equipped with 30 miles a hiking/biking trails, lakes that you can kayak in, a disk golf course, a community center, 2 tennis courts, a basketball court, a dog park, 2 swimming pools, a gym that is free to use that even has classes at, a restaurant in the community center, and 2 schools in the neighborhood along with countless events that are put on by the neighborhood (one example was a casino night recently where they raffled off like 25 prizes after everyone got to play casino games for 2 hours. Admission was free)
