Warranty work pays crap next to customer pay work. I've worked for BMW, GM, and several independant shops back in the day. CUSTOMER PAY IS THE BREAD AND BUTTER FOR TECHS. Granted. some warranty jobs you can beat the labor units, but most you will just break even or lose your arse on.

That GM dealer should have known to do a consumption test right away. It is a very common problem.

Didn't realize that it didn't pay. They knew what the problem was. Hell I did with 5 minutes of research and a few friends with GM trucks.

Sounds like what your saying is they cant screw the manufacturer but they can the customer
