I'd try to reset it first, but any other issue and I would definatly be in there everytime is had a hicup. Have you looked at service history? At this point I would be worried someone else got tired of fighting this and unloaded it.

Nothing like this was listed on service history just routine maintenance all done at a Ford dealer.
