Bought a 2010 back in Dec and immediately had an issue with the transmission. Brought it back and they assured me it was just the program and reset it.

3 months later it's doing it again, service rep told me to just disconnect the negative post to factory reset the program.

Do I need to push for them to spend some money and replace something in the computer? Is this a precursor to some major issues down the road?

I have an extended warranty for 3 more years but once that's gone...

I'd try to reset it first, but any other issue and I would definatly be in there everytime is had a hicup. Have you looked at service history? At this point I would be worried someone else got tired of fighting this and unloaded it.

Describe your issue in a bit more detail. Slipping out of gear? Failing to engage a gear? Not shifting into reverse reliably? etc...
